DIARY OF A PAINTBALLOHLIC: Paintball Anonymous
(A true story)
Hi my name is Ray and I've been a paintballoholic for about 10 years now.
I remember my first time using paintball like it was yesterday. My buddies all got pump markers and they begged me to try. I figured what the heck I've been playing lazer tag off and on I can handle it. From the moment I shot my first shot I was hooked, and I purchased my own marker the next weekend.
I first started realizing I had a problem when I was 17. I'd wake up in the middle of the night fiending for some paintball, I'd call my buddies and we'd play a saving private ryan senario game on a bridge on a public road at 3:00 in the morning. I only further regressed in my addiction from there.
It wasn't till I was using 10 bags of paint a weekend that I finally admitted I had a problem. I tried to cut back my paint usage but then came egrips and I relapsed back into my addiction. I lost many friends due to paintball when they where hanging out in parking lots and chasing loopy broads, I was too busy getting high on adrenaline to be around. I joined a group of other paint users and we spent our weekends looking for that ultimate game. My employer has even asked me to wear long sleeve shirts to cover up the welts on my arms. I've given up trying to fight my addiction but I do my best to curtail it by playing only sundays. I'm Ray and this was my story.
