Default Getting to the next level

Hey Ollie, I was just wondering if you could give me any tips for getting to the next level in tournament paintball. I'm currently on a 3-man team and we play and do really good in local tournaments, but we'd really like to get to the next level. Have any suggestions?

I'm talking about tips for helping my team and I get to a higher division. All we do right now is play local 3-man tournaments.

Im not Ollie either, but I can give you some advice-
play against teams better than you. this will force you to improve
if youre looking to do national events, you'll need more dedicated players, make sure everyone has the same heart, dedication, and drive as you
set a practice schedule for the year. if you can do a full weekend practice, set one day for drilling and one day for scrims (put those drills to practical use)
find someone willing to give you constructive criticism, but make sure it isnt someone on the team and not affraid to tell you what you (you being a member of the team) did wrong and how to fix it.
Just keep at it and one day, you can be where you want to.

Yeah I see what you're saying. The hardest thing of all is definately money and sponsorships. We've had a couple of minor sponsors but I'm really trying to get our team name out there for possible larger ones.

The only problem with that is that you almost have to have a sponsorship from a larger company to play in a major tournament in the first place because of how costly it is.

u can also look around for local tournament sponsored by major companies and for any money issue u can have ur small sponorships help out and u can find a way to raise money aswell...(i no it is easier said then done but thats life)

Theres tons of ways to raise money for larger events. Our team has a cafe press store that we pay nothing for, but get the money from the markup on clothing (http://www.cafepress.com/cyanideclothing)
you can also do a snack table at a local event or car washes or make stuff, we also make barrell cozzies that sell for 5 bucks each and headbands that sell for 10. Theres tons and tons of ways to get the needed money, you just gotta figure out what works best for your team.
Its a double edged sword, because if you dont have the money to play the larger tournaments, your team wont get the needed sponsorships...
