Is it time for a revolution
We have entrusted the growth and development of paintball to the two professional paintball leagues. They have held this power for years and have made many advancements, but lately seem to have hit a brick wall. Paintball is a sport with enormous potential, addictive draw, and millions of participants. We are all waiting for paintball to make its push to it rightful place as a mainstream sport. Answer the following questions:
1. Do we need these leagues to continue our growth or should we look to new leaders?
2. Do these leagues really represent our interest?
3. Will they ever care about paintball instead of their own interest?
4. What are some alternatives or ideas?
Paintball belongs to us, not the power brokers; we should remind them of this fact. We should take our sport back, if they won’t do the right things. We must act now before they strangle the life out of this sport. I hope that they read this rant and make the changes necessary. It is with great hope that I end this.
