Outlaw Teotihuacan
DATE: 02 Oct 2007, 11:06 pm / MOOD: Full of life

hi paintball alliance!!!!
well finally I can write about the stuff that is going on here at Mexico!!! well the last weekend (sep 29-2007) all our crew were organicing like a camping to a hill, all this because the last summer in Guadalajara Jalisco take plase like the mexican vercion of Oklahoma D-Day, so hundreds of player gatter there and some our friends also went and tell us that it was cool!!! before i forget!!! they won the 1° place!!!
Also they tell us that some of the administrators of that event had played last year at Oklahoma D-Day, so in some future don't wait only for group of mexican player!!! star to get ready for the rice of the Mexican Brigade!!!! so we are spectting go to more than 50 players to OKL D-Day...
Well continuing with this... first a friend who lives at Teotihuacan, near the piramids, that we were searching for new woods adventure, had the idea of a big game at his hometown, so he tell us and we get agry with him. He went to some goverment offices to take out some legal paper that could aloud us to play there and also for not get in problems.
Days pass and finaly our frind adquiered the paper, that gives us "green light" for go to the hill!!!!  for our surpirce he tell us that we can use like 143 hectereas (sorry I don't know how many acress are that) we were specting a less but is ok!!
We were inviting people and doing alot of stuff because our friend tell us that it is a wild place but cool for playing!!! Also another friend who is like doing a movil paintball shop or something like that, has Co2/Air tanks and tons of paintballs so that problem was solve. ok we did more thing for get ready fotr that day!!!
ok, the weekend finaly come and all of us were exited!!! so we arribe like 11 am (same time like TX) more less at 11:30 am we star to move to the hill which was 45 min of driving up to the hill, after some chat, dressing with all our gear, etc... we star to play like at 2 pm... also there no was reffs or even a crony!!! so all we know it was going to be a game of honor with head shots!!!
First we played capture the flag, the 2 teams in some limited sides of the hill, in this game we spend like 2 hours!!! 1.30 hr in finding us and 30 min in sharing shoots!!! after this was time for dinner!!! but thanks to the weather we didn't eat our BBQ!!! only some bake...
well, other team which said that would arrive late, come after the rain and you know, more time of chat, get ready, etc. well after that the weather begun to be worst!!! the fog get down, almost anyone could see and for more worst things it keeped raining!!!
Some problems started like: for those that had electronic markers and hopper, the ones that use Co2 and the most common of all!!! the fog inside your mask!!!
But some didn't care about this and get brave for keep playing!!! so it was team TROYANOS (troyans) VS LAGATIJAS VOLADOSAS (flying lizards), call me cowards or pussy but I rather not to play, so I left my gear and I get a camara for taking pictures...
This 2° and last game take like 1 hr or less, now it was invasion, one them defend a place who they call base and the other team attack... I repeat, the weather wasn't good, mud, rain & fog!!!! and it was starting to be dark!!! so no more sun light!!!
From we were camping, I could hear shoots and screams, imagine how exiting could be that!!! they didn't finishthat last game by the bad weather, some of my friends told me that there was friendly fire in one of the teams, hahaha that was funny!!!
Well, we finished leaving the hill, picking all our thing and with a lot of hungry!!! so we left more less at 11 pm the hill...
All of us hope to be there againg but with a better weather, with more players and shooting tons of paint!!!
So in some future another big game, like in January, could take place on this hill or in a paintball field, calling for mexican players to gatter and letting know that there are more freak in the country!!!
VIVA MËXICO!!!!
here is the link if you want to see the pictures!!!
Also I'll be glad with some good or may be not to good commends!!!
keep painting!!!
PD: i get a cold!!! but now i'm fine!!!

Woodsball Manifesto
DATE: 29 May 2007, 7:36 pm / MOOD: In love

Woodsball Manifesto

We are Woodsball™ players. We are the core of paintball. Over 90% of the players play paintball in the woods, and yet 90% of all in-paintball media coverage ignores us. We play not for prizes or money or fame, but for the passion of the game. We play because the challenge is there; every weekend, all around the world. We just need to show up and accept it.

We are not the pretty-boys of speedball. We are the anti-heroes of the mainstream. You won't see us on posters or in videos sliding into bunkers with names like "cans" or "snakes", and that's fine by us. The real game isn't spit shined, groomed and polished or made for TV. It's down and dirty, in the literal trenches. Our fields are not well maintained lawns; it's terrain that both teams overcome. We don't complain about sand or dirt or uneven fields, its part of the world we play in. Scratches and dings in our equipment are displayed with pride, and we can tell you where they happened, and how deep in the crud we were when we got it.

We are the roots of the game that have been abandoned by much of the mainstream industry. We don't throw aside where we've come from to make the game more palatable for an audience. If nobody sees what we do, it does not make the effort or result worth less. We drive through back roads to fields that nobody knows about but ourselves. We know we're there when we lose our favorite radio station and the cell phones won't work anymore. We play under the media radar with no reward other than bragging rights because we want to play. There are no prizes, no million dollar checks, but that makes neither our tenacity to win no less fierce nor our games less meaningful for us.

Our chosen uniform is camouflage, not because we want to be militaristic but because it works. We use our clothing as a part of our game, something that escapes many of the "firefight specialists" that play only arena games. The paintgun is only one tool of a well rounded player, not the only tool. We know this; as we use all the skills and tools we have every weekend.

Based only on our clothing, our gear, and our chosen locations of play, we are looked at as inferior players. We are told we would never stand a chance in a "real game" of paintball. We understand your arena game; yet you refuse to understand our woods game? We are not throwbacks to a long dead game. Yes, we are living history, but we have evolved. We honor our roots, but we do not abandon them to follow the next "promise" in paintball. Long after the "flavor of the month" arena game has worn out, we will be playing in the woods. To know the past is to control our future, and we embrace both.

We are told that we should abandon the woods, for the better good of "the future of the game". Our presence threatens those who never have, and probably never will, understand what the origins of paintball are. They think we will scare away the media by looking like "militia members". Not that fist fights and blatant cheating will attract any better media attention in their games. Not that terms like "Bounce Engineered" or "Ramping Technology" mean anything to the true roots of what paintball started as; what paintball should be. Are the arena players scared of us or ashamed because we remind them what they should be?

We are woodsball™ players. Any given weekend we'll be playing our game with a grasp on the past and an eye on our future. Players that don't understand will come and go, we know this. They can play under the bright lights in front of audiences and pretend to be rock stars all they want. We'll be in the woods years after you retire, playing the game of paintball the way it always had been played: with honor, with integrity, and with friends. All 90% of us.

PB in México
DATE: 07 Jan 2007, 11:37 pm / MOOD: Other

NO TIPPMANN, only to give you an idea of what’s going on).

As D-Day.
